Group tuition information

With group A-Level Biology tuition, I teach and support a minimum of 4 students to a maximum of 8 students during each lesson.  I do not have larger group sizes, as this will prevent me from giving personal help to each student – something I feel is important even within a group.  This option is suitable for all students but will also be of interest to students who learn best in a group. With this option, you still get the same quality of tuition as with one-to-one tuition but at a lower charge.

The options for group A-Level Biology tuition

Option 1 – Block of lessons covering one topic at a time

This option is ideal if you are struggling with a topic and need extra help to support your lessons in school. This option can also be used for revision lessons.  For this, each student must want help with the same topic.  Once one topic is covered, A further block of lessons can be booked to cover a different topic.  Payment is made in advance for the whole block session.

Option 2 – Weekly ongoing lessons where the topic can change each week

This option is ideal if you want regular help and support to supplement your lessons in school.  Payment is made in advance of the lesson weekly.

Will the group have students in it that I do not know?

The students in the group can be your friends from school or other students from your class.  However, students from another school(s) may be a part of the group.  You may want to get together with your friends and classmates to secure your tuition together.  

How do I arrange group tuition?

1. Book a free Zoom consultation with me.  This allows me to learn more about each student’s particular issues with A-Level Biology.  The call must be with both parents and students.
2. Decide whether you want option 1 or option 2.
3. Decide on a date and time that you want your lessons.
4. I will then send a link (to parents and students) for the student portal so you can access Zoom and electronic resources.  This link will have your login details for the student portal.
5. I will send a payment link to each of the parents.

Is there a minimum number of lessons that I have to have for option 2?

The short answer is no.  However, the full benefits of tuition are achieved with regular weekly sessions.

Can I cancel a lesson?

Yes. However, a refund cannot be issued for missed lessons.  Group tuition is at a discounted price, and each group needs a minimum of 4 students.
